Our Story

In July 2014 Tim was asked to lead the Engineering Workstream (valued at over £200M) within the Rolls-Royce Energy Business Separation Project, which was successfully delivered as part of the sale of the Energy Business to Siemens in December 2014. At this point, Tim decided to pursue a new direction and in 2015  Limberger Associates was born.

From 2015 – 2018, Limberger Associates managed EU- OPTIMISED, which was a 3-year, €7M project to deliver digital technologies into manufacturing and operational planning. There were 10 consortium members spread across the UK, France, Germany and Spain, with the Lead Party being Laing O’Rourke.

Since Feb 2019, we have been providing the Project Management services for the AIMCH project, which is a 3-year, 6-party, £6.2M flagship project within the InnovateUK “Transforming Construction” programme. This project is designed to improve the construction methods for homes and is expected to be a game-changer for the sector, with significant interest from sector bodies and within regional and central government.

Fortunately Tim’s leap of faith in creating Limberger Associates Ltd paid off: he and Sue have developed an enviable reputation with their clients, operating from their purpose-built office in Derbyshire. Their flexible approach suits them and their clients, resulting in all parties being happy with the outcome and generating further opportunities. Since 2020, daughter Hannah has joined the business as Project Coordinator – a role that enables Hannah to work in the office or remotely, which means she can fulfil her role whilst away from the office. 

 

Tim Limberger

Director | Project Manager|CEng MIMechE Mapm

Tim has a wealth of experience and skills acquired across a wide range of roles in R&D, Design, Analysis, Manufacturing and Operations. In 2010 he took on the challenge of creating a new PMO in the central, global engineering function of Rolls-Royce, including responsibility for operational, resource and programme management. In this role, Tim significantly improved delivery of projects into the RR engineering function.

Away from work, Tim enjoys cycling, walking, singing and watching sports.

Sue Limberger

DIRECTOR | Business Administration

Sue provides business admin support and project support services, for example:
Monitoring and reporting on the finances of a multi £M collaboration project
Admin and financial management for small business through our sister site sas4u.co.uk. Please visit that website for more information.
Sue worked for most of her career in the NHS, delivering speech therapy programmes in Derby City and then providing dysphagia support at the Royal Derby Hospital.
As the Limberger Associates business grew Sue happily stepped into the role of providing exemplary support for the business of our clients.

Away from work Sue enjoys gardening, reading and singing.

 

Hannah Limberger

Project Coordinator|Marketing|MSC BSc

Hannah is the most recent member of the team here at Limberger Associates.
Hannah initially achieved a first class degree in Environmental Conservation and then went on to complete a Masters in Environmental Management.
Currently, Hannah is working towards a recognised APM Diploma in Project Management and will go on to achieve a more specialist diploma in Project Planning and Control.
She is working here as a Project coordinator providing to support to the business and making the final member of this family team.

Away from work, Hannah writes environmental articles for her blog ‘Biodegradable Gypsy‘ and enjoys an outdoor lifestyle including; hiking and cycling.
